Year in Japan
In September 2024, I made the decision to spend a year in Japan — to travel, explore, and broaden my horizons. I first moved to Fukuoka, where I spent five months living with a host family and attending a Japanese language school. I quickly fell in love with the city of Fukuoka, its people, and its incredible food.
After those five months, I been traveling across Kyushu (Beppu, Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Miyazaki), Honshu (Nagoya, Gifu, Nagano, Toyama), and Hokkaido (Sapporo, Otaru, Niseko, Tomakomai).
I’ve grown to love Japan so much that one year no longer feels like enough. That’s why I’d like to apply for a second year in Japan through the Working Holiday Visa program.

I love exploring other cultures. Here are some impressions of my cultural exchange in Taiwan.
